Christy Bruneau
Singer-Songwriter | Recording Artist | Podcast Co-Host | Writer

Based in San Diego, California, Christy writes soulful, Indie Pop songs grounded in real life: heartbreak, hope, reflection, reinvention, and the beauty found along the way. Her current catalog, Life, Love, and Death, was co-written with Laurie Clarke Gilbert and George Slavik under the project name 2 AM Epiphanies. All songs are one-stop and easy to clear.

Christy got her start in the 1990s playing the San Diego singer-songwriter scene alongside Jason Mraz, Anya Marina, Lisa Sanders, and other remarkable songwriters. Later with her band, she went on to open for touring acts like Xavier Rudd and The White Buffalo. But her real love turned out to be the recording studio more than the stage. In 2004, she was cast as a live singer-songwriter in the independent film L.A. Twister, which licensed three of her songs. After recording two albums and performing throughout Southern California, she became a mom in 2005, balancing her passion for writing and recording with raising her son alongside her husband. The secret, she says, has been to never stop writing and never stop learning the craft.

Christy is now in the studio at Peregrine Music with musician and producer Matt Fowler, building a new catalog of Indie Pop songs that will be available for licensing in November 2026.

She also co-hosts The Creative Download Podcast with fellow songwriter Chelsea Nettleton, where they share candid conversations about the highs, lows, and breakthroughs of a creative life. They are also currently creating a t.v. series (more about that coming soon.)

Whether recording as an artist or for sync, Christy brings an authenticity that resonates with listeners and viewers alike.
